For weaving with double heddles without a kit or just for easier weaving (no lifting up or pushing down the heddles by hand). I find this saves my back from the pushing and pulling of the heddles, especially with 2 of them which have a bit of weight to them. I am also short and this saves me from having to reach clear across the loom to use the shed blocks.
