Fiber Art Fun with Saori

I have been going through my stash to see what I have that I can use up to make way for new yarns.  We needed small area rugs in several places. I had some carpet warp and the Churro that I spun years ago that has been sitting in my drawers waiting for it to tell me what it wanted to be.

It finally "spoke to me". It wanted to be Saori style art. So, that's what I have been doing.  First, I did the area rugs and then moved on to art pieces. This is the first time that I did wove a thing mainly to use as something to be hung on the wall and just looked at.

I didn't want to do just clasp weft so, I did more rummaging around to see what other kinds of stuff I can use. I found unprocessed Churro locks and cowrie shells and then went outside into the yard and got a few sticks.

I have never had so much fun weaving until I tried doing these art pieces.  It's really addicting. I am planning to do as many as I can with the Churro that I have left.

Try it! Let your spirit soar!
